Spacer po mieście bywa czasem spacerem po planie filmowym. Bo nie wiem jak Wy ale ja ciągle trafiam na wozy telewizyjne, scenograficzne zasieki, sztuczne niebo, słońce podpięte do gniazdka i statystów udających staruszkę na spacerze z psem (w tych rolach starzec z kotem na ramieniu).
Być może brzmi to jak scenariusz Truman Show, no ale spójrzcie tylko na naszą najnowszą okładkę - zamczysko z XVII wieku na szczycie skarpy, niekończące się schody, morze drzew i zawszę idealny widok na Wisłę - przecież to brzmi jak opis scenografii do jakiegoś filmu. Poostaje nam tylko wybrać czy film, w którym mamy zamiar wystąpić to ten z gatunku niskobudżetowej (lecz popularnej) produkcji paradokumentalnej, dla zmęczonych tygodniem ludzi z mordoru, czy też może artystyczna sielanka, której nikt nie zobaczy, ale za to dostanie nagrodę za scenariusz w Legnicy. Wybór trudny ale damy rade.

A walk through the city sometimes feels like a walk through a film set. I don't know about you, but I constantly encounter television vans, set fences, artificial skies, the sun plugged into a power outlet, and extras pretending to be an old lady walking her dog (played by an old man with a cat on his shoulder).
It might sound like a script for The Truman Show, but just look at our latest cover – a 17th-century castle atop a slope, endless stairs, a sea of trees, and an always-perfect view of the Vistula River – it sounds like a description of a film set. All that's left is to decide whether the film we're about to star in is a low-budget (but popular) mockumentary for those tired from a week in Mordor, or perhaps an artistic idyll that no one will see but will win a screenplay award in Legnica. It's a tough choice, but we'll give it a go.

A graduate of the Faculty of Design at Glasgow School of Art and Pedagogy at the University of Lodz, her illustrations are distinguished by bold, saturated colors and distinctive pencil lines. Her work focuses on the world of women, everyday scenes, and nature. In her free time, she enjoys knitting and reading.
